So did anyone buy Through the Ages?
(BGG Link here) I'm mainly asking because it appears that the second printing has come and gone. [I'd like to play again, but I didn't pre-order it. I got Agricola ... it's someone else's turn.]

I got it...hasn't arrived yet though. Believe me, the cost made me think twice. We'll see.
Chris Farrell's review made me very worried about it...
Uh oh. I was *hoping* this would be good. I need to stop doing that. Well, we'll find out.

It's not bad (although I agree with Chris's review in general). I played 3 games in as many days last Spring, and if it had been available then I would have snapped it up. But I think that it does have limited replayability.
Especially given that the edition has sold out, that means you can probably sell/trade it for face value (if not more) if you happen to be disappointed. I almost bought it for that reason anyway, but I was between jobs...
I've only played once, and I thought it was great. The perfect scratch to MY Civ itch.
I almost never completely agree with Farrell's view on games. Maybe if I played games as much as he does, but I don't have the time to see all the minutiae he sees.
Oh, and I don't have it, FWIW.
