TI3 Planning

No time like the present. Let's play.

Looks like we've got four so far- Ted, Steve, Ben, and myself. We'd prefer six but could probably do with five players. The plan is to get an early start (8am Saturday at my place, pick out races and start setting the map by 8:30am). New players are welcome--we can walk you through the basics (after which your civilization will be summarily crushed), but it wouldn't hurt to glance over the rules (here and here) the night before. In addition, one of the best player aids for novice and expert alike are the TI3 videos at Bookshelf Games.

Post here or email me if you want in. I'll try to post the list of rules variants to be used by Friday evening, and we can debate in the comments or vote Saturday morning on any that people don't like.

I'm out. I just got called by our secretary and was told I'm riding shotgun on a checkride from 9 AM till 11 AM. I guess I'll go to Chris' right after and demand that someone win immediately so that Ben isn't too worn down for Hannibal.

Steve, I think you're starting to get a little sick....cough cough...maybe a bit of a fever. I think you may end up being too sick to go to work Saturday and may just need to call in. You should probably tell them this information Friday so they have enough time to find your replacement for the checkride.

Just tell them your priapism is acting up again. They'll understand.

I'm in, but I need 2 sets of directions. The ones for TI:3 I can get from BGG or elsewhere. The ones to Chris's house I'll need some help with. Please shoot me an email.

I suppose that everyone got tired of my empty promise to host TI3 at my house. I understand completly. Thanks for taking the initiative Chris.

It sounds like you have a good sized group, so I will stay away this time. Actually, it is that I cannot get away for a long session this Saturday. I look forward to the session report.

I am still trying to figure out saturday or sunday and probably will not know until Saturday morning; the other problem is that I have to take a car in for service at 8 and do some banking at 9 so I probably wouldn't arrive before 9:15 absolute best case.

I'm gonna try to come by. I've been itching to play some games, especially TI:3.

WHOA! Chad! Clearly the typed character sequence TI3 has awoken you from your slumber. Great to hear from you!

Damnit, now Chad's officially running away with it again.

Ted & Chad, emails are on their way.

Bah, we'll sort through the options when people get here. My printer seems to like me again, so I'll print out tech sheets for anyone who wants them once we pick races.

I'm having a hard time believing a TI:3 game is actually going to happen. Someone wake me up if this is a dream...

I printed a copy of the color tech sheets, Chris, if you haven't already.

Make sure that you go easy on Ted. We want him to want to play again.

Having been something of an instigator, I now must bow out at the last minute.

We've been negotiating a major proposal with a client for weeks now, and they have asked for yet another change to the scope and budget.

Theoretically this process will be over this week, but I've said that before.
