Saturday Gaming: Life after BGG.Con
Anyone up for gaming on Saturday? Personally, I'd like to play something epic. WoW (with expansion), TI:3, or even just Hannibal, StarCraft, or War of the Ring would be great. If you too would like to play on Saturday, even if not epic games, please post a comment.

Combat Commander or 1960 would be great too.
After an epic day of euros, I'm not available for any epic games Sat. However, I could probably be available for something more manageable like CC, War of 1812, BL, or something in that range.
I'll probably be able to swing by for a bit....at least to pick up Jon's share of the hotel room.... so that I can cover the cost for Guitar Hero III and Rock Band.
I'm definitely up for a Euro smorgasboard on Friday and maybe an epic on Saturday. I'd be happy to host Saturday (which might be better than DL if we're doing a many-pieces game). I don't have a feel yet for how many we'd have on Saturday after all day on Friday, so I'm not sure if we could pull off TI:3 without a committment from several people beforehand. Given that this weekend is Turkey Day, it may be hard to get that committment.
WoW would work--I know Ben and I would like to try the new expansion. I bet Dennis would play again if he's around. It's not everyone's cup of tea but maybe we'll get enough to play that as well as split off for others who like something else.
Ultimately, I'm torn. I'd like to plan ahead for a big game but I'd also like to get as many people together as possible and say "I don't care--I'll play anything!" because I always seem to enjoy it all. That kind of works against the whole committing-to-a-big-game-ahead-of-time thing. Plus, if Rob can make it, that's even more reason to get a big crowd together.
Again, I always want to add the disclaimer that since I have cats, I know Jeff and Amy can't come over, so if they can join in on the Saturday action as well then I'm happy to meet everyone at DL or somewhere else.
Chris, I think you covered all the bases. Well said! Why don't we plan on the typical smorgasbord on Saturday, since there doesn't seem to be a surge of enthusiasm for TI:3. I should have a lot of time next week to study the new WoW stuff, so I'll be totally ready the following weekend.
I'd be more than motivated to peel off for deeper 2-player games as well (1960, Hannibal, WotR), but if not, there's a ton of good multiplayer to get onto the table.
Did I mention I wanted to play Hannibal?
Just for the record, we weren't planning on attending the Saturday event, so don't worry about us when it comes to planning the venue.
I figure I have some chance of attending Saturday; depending on whether I am truly over my cold and how my wife is feeling; I will have to update as it gets closer.
What about some smaller multi-player games like RRT, CotE, Power Grid,...? I also have a copy of Cutthroat Caverns that I have yet to try.
I could probably make it for three or four hours in the morning. I was not able to clear out my house, however.
Hmmm....I'm looking more and more like a 'no'. Just in case, I'll keep an eye out on this thread.
As Scorpion would say, "Get over here!"
Having now pushed the pieces around in Hannibal for the first few turns playing solo, I now understand why it is so highly rated a game.
Carlos, you're welcome to come over. Right now it looks like you, me, Ben, and Steve. Not sure about Brian or Rob yet (the door's open, guys). Not sure if anyone else will RSVP or if they do, if it will be in this thread or in the Friday session report thread above. I'll check both.
Chris, shoot me an email with your address.
Ooops....it's Robert...I'm logged in using my brother's computer.
Sent. Anyone else need the info, post here or send me an email.
