Well, I was all ready to go and post a message, but then a storm came and blew away teh intraweb. For 48 hours. And it's too late now.

because you've been doing japanese??? impressive.
Actually, just a little Japanese and a lot of grunting and pointing, though I have to say I was amazed to learn about 75% of the Japanese I met both in the North and in Tokyo spoke very decent English.
