Monday

This is your weekly post to prepare for Monday at DL. I'll be there at my typical time (4pm). With "Friendless" as a recent Geek of the Week, I added my name to his stats list and I've got 113 games unplayed! Vhozha Moi!

Of course, many were played before I started logging games on BGG, but I've got to knock that number down to a respectable sub-100 or so. So I'll bring a few classics and quick card games. And some Age of Steam expansions.

Yeesh, three posts just hit simultaneously.

I expect to be a little late (6-7pm), but I'll be there, with Strat-O-Matic in tow (see the World Series replay below).

For the first time in ages I will be there. I can be there at opening time if anyone else is showing up. Happy to help you expand your played list Brian.

I'll be there, 5ish. I'm really interested in seeing Strat-o-Matic as well.

Brian: Cool list. You haven't played 1830? Its one of my all-time favorites, and I think our group would love it. 1835 is a nice one too.

I'm still highly motivated to play Flying Colors. War of the Ring: Battles of the Third Age is a no-brainer must play. I sure Steve or I would jump at the chance to take that one off your list.

Paths of Glory... some day I hope!

Anyway... on Monday I'll be in Washington DC wishing I was at DL!

Well, this Monday will officially be the first one that I'll miss for at least the next 3 years. Enjoy guys.... it's been fun. Hope to see some of you every now and then on Saturday sessions (BTW, today's was great... got to play most of the things I wanted to play... 2 games of notre dame, 1 Arkadia, 1 To Court the King, 1 Pillars of the Earth, 1 Nexus Ops). I'll keep posted through the blog.

I've played 1830 a ton of times (there's a reason I own 1856, 1870, 1835, etc. I've sold 1841, 1899, 1876 and others). I just haven't played it in the last 4 odd years.

When I taught 1830 in NC, it was a long time before the new players could compete. One of the most brutal learning curves in any game. So I haven't bothered to teach it here.

Well, now I've gone and updated BGG with all of my game play information from 2001. My geekitude knows few bounds.

Looks like the earliest anyone is showing up is 4pm so that's when I will arrive.
