Thinking about New Year's and Monday
Like any other resolution, gaming resolutions are easy to make and usually forgotten. But we may as well make them. For me, I'd like to get in a few old classic games this year. Among the games I should play this year (according to my Friendless Stats page) are: Age of Steam, 18xx, Ursuppe, Indonesia, Paths of Glory, Cash N Guns. A good list. And we didn't get in 7 Ages or Here I Stand over the holidays (not that I'm terribly surprised).
I think this is the year I try to actually make BGG con.
I'm trying to get one of my designs better than 'mediocre.'
But overall I'm just happy to play games. Everything else is a bonus.
I'll be at DLair on monday around 5:30.

I should be at DL around 5:15 Monday. I would be up for at least a game of everything on your list although they are 50/50 for me of games I have never played. I will be out of commission (for gaming and other purposes) next weekend and next monday. My odds of going to any con; slim.
I will not be at gaming Monday. Given that I will be on my way to Chicago (assuming my ride ever gets back to me....)
Games I would like to play this year are Java, Tikal and Mexica, as well as the new games I will be buying by the end of February. EUro's more certain :)
I too wish to make it to BGG con this year. Given that it is the week before thanksgiving I am not certain how the boss will feel about that, but some sacrifices must be made.
And I would not mind playing Indonesia. If Ursuppe is Primordial Soup as BGG says it is, I would want to play that as well.
Paths of Glory is high on my list. Having played Shifting Sands, I think it will come pretty easy. Even if I can't find a day to do it FtF, the PBEM community for this game seems pretty active. I have Pursuit of Glory waiting in the wings as well, and reviews seem to be very positive for the follow-on.
It turns out I will not be at DL Monday night after all. I am also out next Friday-Monday so hopefully I can rejoing the gaming world in two weeks as a birthday present to myself.
Monday night is the Fiesta Bowl, so I'll be watching it at my place starting at 6:00pm, and interested parties are invited. The Rock Band diehards will be here, and there may be a game or two depending on how the game goes.
I'm available if there's anyone going to show up - I figured with the Texas game tonight pickings would be slim. I'll check the comments before heading over tonight...
It sounds like people will be at Casa de Chris instead of DLair, so I'll be heading over there.
