Saturday already?

Time for everyone's favorite weekly game.

It's called: Calibrate Chris' TV.

Games that do not require calibration (i.e., board games) should also make an appearance. Come try your hand at either one. Saturday, 9am, at the place where Chris' TV is.

Feel free to list suggestions for the first game of the morning; that way, it's more likely to get played. I think Brian wants to get Starcraft on the table, and Ben mentioned Age of Gods. I'd be up for either. I'd go for World of Warcraft, Arkham Horror, C&C:A, or War of the Ring, although some of those may need to be a "first game" some weekend as well for it to actually see the table.

There was a rumor Old Rob might show up this weekend. Hope so.

And I'm not really sure what Michael would like to play. Not real certain on that one... ;)

Hooray! I survived the UK earthquake this week. One more bresakfast of bangers, and I should be home in time for Sat gaming.
Starcraft? That's so October... Still, I would love to play.

I am ready to play any game with ultaviolence.

Rob will be there and we are planning to play some CC:M.

I'll be there. The new Strat-O-Matic cards have arrived, if anyone's curious. WoW, Age of Gods, or Arkham also sound good.

Celebrities doesn't require calibration.

Does reminding your partner of your name count as calibration?

Assuming I feel better than I do right now, I'll be there.

Stupid allergies, be more funny.

I am out cause I don't know directions (yet) and I am going to ride to Austin. The Vespa dealership is having a grand opening of some sort, so I am going to show some support.

Yes I will be there. I was going to post a clever post (nice...), but you all ruined it for me. I was going to say something along the lines of "you all should change the name from SABG to SARBAORFTGG" (SA Rock Band and/or Race for the Galaxy Gamers).

SO no, now it doesn't sound clever at all.

My Rock Band craze has calmed down a bit too....until they release another "OOOOOOHHHH sweet!" song.

Jon and I are doing CC:M (due to a severe lack of wargaming over here....hmmm....and breakfast tacos too... but I digress), but I'm sure open for anything else after a game or two of CC:M. Starcraft sounds cool.

I'm bringing In The Year of the Dragon (my current fav euro).

Ben, Nexus Ops is coming from Zman, with no mispunched counters. Sell yours now!

Oh, and thanks all for the kind words. Eventhough I AM getting plenty of gaming in my weekly sessions and others, I sure miss SABG (seriously).

Better link to games played since I started loggint them in Sept 07.

I want to play more CC:M! I will bring my copy as well. The winning streak of the brave Italian Army must remain unbroken!

Still... The other stuff sounds fun too.

Rob, quit being burned out on rock band and start playing online with me.

Eventually I need to pop the shrink on Burning Crusade, but somehow I think Road to Legend will make it to the table first. I wonder who will commit to the campaign? Hopefully we'll have it in a week or so.

What is the start time? I expect to be fully spaced out on jet lag, so I can start whenever.

Still planning for 9am at this point, which gives me time to get back from the store with stuff. I could make it back by 8:30am if someone lets me know they'd like to get a slightly earlier start, though.

BTW, since a few people mentioned they might be ok with it, I was planning to put WoW with Burning Crusade on the table for the first morning game. I'm going through the rules and a few sample turns tonight.

If people want to play something else instead, it's a simple matter to pick it up and open something else. I figure it just saves us a bit of that "I don't know, what do you want to play?"

Just so you know, you should add both expansions if you want to do Burning Crusade. And BTW, it's a 6-8hr long ride for WoW with all expansions. But worth it IMO.

BTW, it looks like there will be some Grateful Dead hits coming out next week...

I am up for it if we start rolling dice by 930 or so. Otherwise, I don't expect much hesitation to suggest alternatives. Hooray, I am back in the USA! Now where is my X-Box?

Hello all,

Just wanted to mention that it was great meeting you all on Monday, I had a great time. I won't be able to make it this next Monday so I am going to try to make it Saturday morning; put me down as a maybe.

If you guys nail down a game, I will try to get a headstart on reading the instructions --this way I may obtain the status of grossly ill-informed as opposed to completely clueless.

Travis, good to hear from you. If you need the directions again, email me at my bgg account, bigtex01.

I'm seriously planning to put WoW on the table first thing in the morning. Don't underestimate me; I'LL DO IT. Oh yes I will.

I've been reading through the rules and it really sounds like fun. If it takes 6 hours, that's unfortunate. But if Rob has played it (and he says it's worth it, people), and I've gone over the rules a few times and I have it set up, I'm hopeful.

And Ben, I think once RtL arrives, we're even LESS likely to see WoW again for a LONG time. I think the people that like this kind of game in the first place (which isn't everyone), would rather play RtL until they burn out on it. And at that point, they're probably not going to want to play WoW either. So it seems like now or never, right?

Ok, out of fear of the 6 hour WoW game, I will go to the store at 8 and be back with open door at 830 (crosses fingers). WoW starts at 930 unless we get enough here by 9 to start.

And people are welcome to come and start other games at the same time. (Don't worry, you won't get sucked into WoW if you'd rather play something else.)

Enough of us have played vanilla WoW that we should do okay. I have played with the first expansion and it was pretty easy. Count me in!

I am a very unlikely and will be late if I can come; just got back in to town and hitting the sack in the midnight/2am range. If something happens tomorrow my odds will go back up. Monday is extremely unlikely but starting next Saturday I should be back to good standard weekend availability. So Dennis is there a strat plan?
