Good news: I just picked up a mint (though not in shrink) copy of Broadsides and Boarding Parties!Bad News: I took multiple full stern raking broadsides during the E-Bay bidding war and had to pay $185 to win the auction. I think I'll spring for the shipping insurance.
Now to nestle it in safely next to War of the Ring: Collector's Edition.

I think you're going to be really happy with this purchase. These kind of things do not come along often, especially in this condition. I'm glad you got this rather than letting it go by and regretting your decision later.
I'm always happy to play it with you. I don't know about wearing those little white gloves while playing it, but I won't be eating Cheetos while playing it either. And if I accidentally spill some soda on it...well, they're boats, right? What could it hurt?
Confession: The auction ended during my commute home from work today. So, when I sat down in my car for the drive home, I carefully nestled the iPhone on the console and fired up the E-Bay app. Then, I kept one eye stalk safely on the road, while the other eye stalk monitored the countdown, ready for lightning bid!
I did have a sick feeling where part of me was secretly hoping I would lose the auction.... but that is fading now.
Time to dump a few more games to restore the warchest!

I now have Conquest of the Empire, many versions of Axis and Allied, and Fortress America. Now, I am just waiting for the recently announced Samurai Swords reprint this Summer to complete the collection. Great dice chucking fun!
