Mo Monday

Well, while ya'll were playing games I was at ZDT's, which was shockingly good. But that means that I'm tanned, rested and ready for Monday gaming. (I'll be bringing stuff to dump on BGG con, in case ya'll want to peruse it). As usual, if you have gaming requests, dump them in the comments.

Broncos MNF :(.

One of these weeks the MNF matchup will not suck me in.

Business trip; there is a shot I will be able to make the next Monday; I should know by mid week.

Man, that place looks like FUN.

I'm hopeful that I can make it, although Michael's right--MNF looks good.

BTW, Michael, LSU had that interception. What angle were the instant replay guys watching? I guess they wanted him to get three feet down inbounds. Still, I'm not sure Jarret Lee had a touchdown drive in him. He looked as lost as the Nebraska and Oklahoma QBs last night. But no pick-sixes, so that's a bright spot.

Instant replay in college football this season has been shockingly bizarre and bad. Really, I don't ever remember seeing calls on instant replay clearly missed like I've seen this year. And it's interesting that all the controversial instant replay calls have gone in favor of the undefeated teams this year. I don't think the instant replay officials are intentionally trying to protect the undefeated teams for the sake of their conferences, but it still doesn't look good. Like the writer of the linked article says, it gives the tinfoil-hat crowd more ammunition for their arguments.

What's most impressive about ZDT (from an adult standpoint) is that a) they don't nickel and dime you. Once you pay the $18 to get in, everything (except food) is free. All the machines are on free play, and b) it includes a nice mix of old and new (including a Guitar Hero, DDR. A few retro machines that can bring up dozens of games, 4 Player Madden.

And as for the food, it didn't look bad. They run a Domino's from the kitchen, so the pizza is ... Dominos. I didn't eat anything, but it looked fine, and only slightly overpriced. ($6 for a burger meal)

Wow - definitely making a trip out there sometime soon. I might even take the kids.

I'll be there on Monday - likely close to 7 again though.

Its possible my 1-year old wouldn't appreciate the pizza and video games as much as I would at this point. Hopefully they're still around in a few years.
