WotR Preorders open
An Artifact of Great Power
FFG is proud to announce War of the Ring: Collector's Edition!
EDIT:
Here's a video from Essen with the creator, Francesco Nepitello.
I love the way Richard Bliss (the guy next to Francesco) keeps saying "This is the box?"
To quote Luke Skywalker: "Look at the size of that thing!"

Holy Cow, that is a real work of art!!!
I just ordered a game worthy of Mordor.
Hooray! Just sold all my BattleLore stuff for $150 plus shipping.
Now to arrange closet space for Precious...
Oh, that is gorgeous. Man...so tempting.
I will be quite suprised if this sells out... Though it seems we'll have at least three copies in SABG... Two to play with and one to be hermetically sealed in my dark tower.
I know I mentioned to you that I was getting one, Ben. But I un-pulled the trigger. I finally admitted to myself that I like the game, but I don't love it. I love well-produced games but I just couldn't rationalize this one, not for me at least.
So I hope you'll let your copy see the light of day at some point.
So... Chris apparently just healed a couple corruption points.
Something tells me the power of the ring still calls to him.
Come on... Its fun being one of the Nazgul!
Look's like it may have sold out, if BGG is to be believed. Not surprising given the number of rabid LotR fans.
It is a work of art and a nice tribute. Now I wish they would introduce a lower end game with larger cards and easier to read map.
My wife preordered the CE for me. What an awsome wife!
Yes, according to FFG's site, the product is sold out. I couldn't resist, so I had purchased one this morning. So the group here has a few copies we can ogle. :)
Excellent. SABG takes more corruption. We're back up to three copies.
Now to sell off my limited edition, unpainted Gollum figure...
I got one too. I have two very beautiful chess sets that are packed away but never see the light of day. I am confident that I can get the 400 dollars from the sale of these two sets.
Mark, I hope we are still go for our game(s) of WotR this Saturday October 31st.
$400 board game fever! Catch it!
Wow... I never expected four copies to land in our mild mannered little group. For those on the fence Coolstuffinc apparently has access to a few copies, and these are selling with free shipping plus their frequent shopper discount. I thought about switching over to save $25 or so, but I decided not to take any chances.
Ben, my head still hangs with shame when I think of WotR and you. For everyone else, I manages to loose militarily to Ben (the Free People) the very first game of WotR that I ever played. I think I am better at it now.
Make it 5 ... 7 more and the Dark Lord wins.
The Crebain tell me Jon ordered one too.... that's six rings to rule mortal men (and women). Astounding.
