New Month Gaming

Since I haven't seen a gaming post, we'll through open Casa de Bankler at 10am, if there is sufficient interest. RSVP in the comments .... note that CdB will probably be closing by 4-5pm. Also, we'll determine "sufficient interest" at some point, perhaps as late as tomorrow am. 3+ people will be sufficient, but 1-2 depends on if any of them have a copy of Automobile (or other cool games). Just saying.

And the Guitar Hero 5 setlist ... is full of win. Johnny Cash, Arctic Monkeys, Dire Straits, more Muse, Under Pressure (probably the greatest collaboration of the 70s, although I'm also partial to the Bowie/Crosby Little Drummer Boy), Fame, Frampton coming alive. Granted, it's also full of lose. It's just full.

And I'm personally stoked for DJ Hero, which got the rights to lots of interesting songs, then let DJs mix and match them for the tracks. Which I was reminded off when I saw DJ EarWorm's remix of numerous Annie Lennox songs (with video)...

Sorry I didn't post earlier. It's continued to be a busy month.
This weekend I'm on backup call. In short, it was going to be a bad weekend to host and continues to be a bad weekend to commit to anything. And it doesn't get any better for me coming up: next weekend I'm on actual in-house call. The following weekend I'm out of town.

If gaming pans out, I may sneak over for a bit, but I've also been putting off important to-do stuff to get in gaming, and it's now coming due, so I may pass on gaming out of a sense of self-preservation.

I've been wishing for Under Pressure in Rock Band for a while. I'll wait for Harmonix to get it though because Neversoft quite clearly has no idea what they are doing with rhythm games.

Dennis loves Guitar Hero World Tour. You should definitely ask him about how awesome it is next time you see him.

Also, Fall Further 051 (a mod mod for FFH II) has really fleshed out the Bannor alot. They have added chain of command promotions for units which short term provide very little benefit but long term can create a beastly army if you manage it correctly.

I need to fire up FFH2. Its been too long.

I fried my nervous system playing MvC2 tonight. I almost completed the single player arcade campaign on Medium using my old faves: Cable, Iceman, and Iron Man. Its good to feel the magic again. The Hori arcade stick is amazing.

Anyone interested in trying out Demigod? Looks like it would be fun if we had a few...

Speaking of frying my nervous system, I had to google the South Park Imagination Land song and listen to it three times after watching that Annie Lennox video just to achieve reboot.

It sounds like we have ~3 "Maybes..." So we'll toss open the house from 10am. If nobody shows, I'll just play Rock Band.

Demigod is only $30 at Wal-Mart ($10 cheaper than digital download), so I picked it up there. So far me likeee. While there I watched two grown men actually engage in fisticuffs due to bumping each others' cart. You have to accept a certain level of risk to pursue low prices...

Perhaps amusing for my fellow Star Wars nerds:
