What I did on my summer vacation
Not much, really. Went on a cruise. Messed up my shoulder. Played some games. And now that my summer vacation is over, I guess I'll play some more games. Jacqui and I will host this Saturday from 9am until whenever. RSVP in the comments.

Thanks for hosting! Although I really love to have people over, sometimes it's nice to have a change of scenery.
I'll be there at 11am or so, which means I'll likely miss the early game.
I shall arrive sometime before noon. I have work related obligations in the morning. I am guessing close to 10:30, 11ish, but I am horrid at being able to accurately estimate when I will be through with work.
The Magic 8-Ball of Home Renovation reports Sunday will be my gaming day this week. Now onto some thread hijacking....
I've decided Mercenaries 2 on X-Box is actually great fun. Its a tad too easy perhaps, as your hero can take more gunfire than a Terminator robot in his/her prime. Still, watching your avatar call in a fuel air explosive bomb (aka daisy cutter) on an enemy palace on your HDTV with the 5.1 cranked is pure sensory overload. I've decided the game is more glitchy than buggy, and but its only minor stuff anyway.
Successors finally shipped, with a mounted board no less.
Here I Stand is still fun.
My cat had several Cookie-esque incidents on our new tile. Free to a good home.
My wife now calls our other cat CatBearPig.
Math Trading worked well this time, though nothing was worthy of the complete Descent collection.
Anyone else impressed with the Fallout 3 videos on XBL?
Okay, sorry... had to empty the skull.
I will be showing up 10-11am and a good chance with Michael in tow.
I hope to show around 1-1:30.
CatBearPig is real!
I'm totally cereal!
Willing to be towed btw.
I haven't been looking at many demos since the Force Unleashed. But an XBOX rpg is probably an autobuy for me anyway so Fallout 3 sounds AOK.
The new XBox prices go live today - 60GB Xbox 360 for $299... I'm very very tempted. Now, how to convince Amy this is a good idea.
I can't make it in the morning - the boys have their first soccer game... Lots of firsts these last few weeks - first day of kindergarten, first lost tooth... being a dad is cool, although time consuming.
Oh - the "Arcade" version of XBox 360 is going for $200 - but has no hard drive. Not recommended, but a killer price.
i am a probable no for tomorrow but should be at DL Monday.
I'm out -- finishing tenure box. The end is in sight!
Don't forget to sever the horse's head and put it in. Or does it go in the Dean's bed? I never remember these things ... it's why I left academia.
