SABG Shirts
I think it would be great if we were able to show our SABG colors at some of the upcoming conventions or even just at DL. There are a number of custom t-shirt sites on the web, but the best one I've found so far is Custom Ink.
I freely admit I am not an artist or even a designer. Perhaps some of our members with an artistic bent could give the site a try, come up with some candidate designs, then post them here? I did the above design in about 2 minutes based on the level of baseball interest in the group, plus the fact I think Champion makes the best t-shirts.

I'm thinking short sleeve would be nice too. I thought about a black shirt, but then we probably want high visibility.
I have a silk-screen setup... somewhere I have a link to a place to order good quality shirts for cheap in quantities of 10+. I'd be willing to volunteer my services (note, I'm not an expert, but have fiddled with it some). My screen is 11x18, and each color requires a different pass, so two colors is the most I'd volunteer for.
Sean: Sounds like you're way beyond me. Does having you do the silk screen work save us significant cash vs. just having one of the on-line places do everything?
I could totally get a T-shirt. But it would have to be for Lemurbrau.
As for SABG, what sort of monkey consumption would our shirts promote?
I'm not sure, but the gonad-lovers pizza we had last weekend was pretty good.
Sorry... that's an inside joke for the TI:3 players... sounds a bit odd now that I read it.
Yes, it does sound odd.
Doesn't seem like we have significant interest in shirts so far. Perhaps someone will get a burst of inspiration this week. I wish there was some way Blogger would support a poll.
I think if Simon were still with us, it would be a more likely thing since the artistic stuff was his thing.
Bahamavention like I said.
Like I've said before, I think printing the blog's logo on a "dark shirt" computer transfer paper, and ironing that to a dark blue shirt would look sweet.
I'm always interested in T-shirts... I just don't have any ideas.
Simon, we need you, buddy!
In any event, I'd rather have a simple shirt than no shirt at all. Personally I'm in favor of a darker shirt (dark blue, black) over a white shirt, so as to better mask the pizza stains.
I support the use of shirts.
Doing it myself, the cost would be the price of the shirt in bulk (plain t's were about $3 apiece, short sleeve baseball T's around $4.50), and $10 total in supplies (ink, emulsion, etc). So what runs $15-$20 from an online place would be more like $4-8 DIY.
It's better quality than those iron-on transfers, but limited in scope to just a couple of colors.
I am in favor of t-shirts as well. You can never ever have to many of them.
Simon, is that you? Did you have a sex change?
