I'll make it. I'm pretty sure Chris will try to be there as well, unless something unforeseen comes up.

Random news. Last night, my daughter and I went looking for a toy or nature set spider to use with my 28mm figures. No luck yet. It's a slow process, but satisfying as I try to model a larger version of Battlelore. I found a nice figure from the DandD miniatures stuff to use as a Hill Giant.

Got a copy of Star Wars Epic Duels for $48 off e-Bay. I'm still expecting Ben to run away with it when he uses his General Grievous deck.

If only board games had components this nice...

Congrats on the Epic Duels buy!

I am indeed up for some Saturday gaming. Count me in. I'm definitely up for Battlelore. I bought my own off eBay with the hill giant and earth elemental included but it probably won't get here until late next week. I know others have copies, but I want my own! It's like waiting for Christmas to arrive when games are in the mail--arrrgh! Get here already!

I've heard only good things about WotR so I hope it hits the table at some point.

I can host and can accommodate up to fourteen. If I host start time would be 0900, but we could still go until 2000 (9 AM to 8 PM).

Comments?

!!

Let's see, Henry, his incubator, his IV, his monitor, two nurses, and me. That would would still room for 7 other folks.

Hmm, on second thought, maybe I'll pass.

I will be out of town. IWill be looking forward to some good session reports.

Ted, great post. Hope everything's well. You should be starting to read ASL starter kit 1 to Henry by now.

Saturday's seem to be gaining momentum. I can't make it to this one sadly.....

(insert infomercial announcer voice) BUT Wait! There's more!

I'm making the announcement now.... my wife is out of town from next Friday until the following Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!! bring on the gaming!!!

(did I sound too excited?)

Anyway, I want to start planning early: First I'd like to test things out by offering my place on Saturday 5/19... Would anyone be interested in Die Macher at 0800 followed by Die Any Euro/AT afterwards until the wee hours? I would need 4 more players (5 players max) for Die Macher. If more people show up, we can always set another table up.

On Sunday 5/20 I could do any long wargame like For the People, WestFront2, or Europe Engulfed.

Both invitations are first come fist served. I'll be making a separate post this weekend.

Hmm sounds like I wanna be second. Jon and I were talking about getting a 7 ages game in sometime in the near future and we discounted the idea of anyone besides us and Brian being able to commit the time for it but this wife out of town event sounds pretty sweet for this possibility.

This is great! We're already planning out next Saturday.

I guess I could go for another game of Die Macher... if nothing else purely in the spirit of friendship and group cohesiveness. I think the game is more interesting than fun, but I support your efforts to play a game you've purchased.

I think I'd rather do another game of Civilization than 7 Ages, but that's just me.

I'm off that Monday, Rob, so we can plan something big that day too if you're up for it.

I'd recommend a separate blog post for each all-day gaming session you're hosting to keep things less confusing.

All this support of Saturdays is killing my WotR game. If anyone ever wants to split off for 2-player gaming, please don't feel sheepish about saying so.

Rob - I'm in for Die Macher. I'll announce my intent again once you make a planning post for next Saturday, just wanted to claim a slot now since they're filling up!

Man, this is awesome. We're having to jockey for position on 5-6 player games!

Sorry for the post sabotage Ben. I will post it tomorrow.

Man....7 Ages... Another one I'd love to try. But I do own Die Macher, and want to play it.

So it's Ben, Jeff (Amy?), me...

At 10:49 AM, May 11, 2007, Blogger Jeff said...

Amy has been wanting to play, but usually doesn't read the blog until the evening. I expect she'll want in.

Bring on the killer square tomatos!

Rob, creative thread sabotage is always part of the fun. Offering your house for four days of non-stop gaming justifies just about anything. Just tell Pappa Johns to keep bringing pizzas every four hours throughout the weekend.

How many people does Die Macher accomodate?

I'm planning to come. I've been to Jeff and Amy's house before, but I don't remember the address. Could someone update me? My cell phone is 744-4837 and my e-mail is number656@yahoo.com.

I have the kids, and they do not seem as interested in German Federal Elections, like most children. So no gaming tomorrow.

I could probably do something long(ish) next weekend, and I think I'll be up for Memorial Day. I'm thinking Here I Stand, but p'raps 7 Ages. (I played Seven Ages last mnnth, personally).

Did somebody give Chris directions?

I got directions from Steve. See everyone bright and early.

Rob, I'd like to get in on Die Macher on the 19th. I don't remember - do you have any pets?

At 9:17 PM, May 11, 2007, Blogger Rob said...

Brian: LOL

Amy: I have a Shi-tzu, and an epipen.

Amy(2): Seriously though, is it ok? Anything I can do?

All: Man, it sounds like it will be fun tomorrow, but duty calls after slacking for the first half of the week.

Rob:

You're breaking my heart. I would love to play West Front II but can't commit since I'm having LASIK done that Thursday and don't know if I'll be needing a white cane.

I would be interested in 7 Ages if I can see reasonable well and the wife gives me a pass.

Not to worry Mark, I have the Braille expansion.
