BattleLore fans...

I wasn't completely sold on the Call to Arms expansion until I read this. This expansion looks sweet.

This does look nice, but personally I'm looking forward to the army packs!

Oh, and I wonder how long its going to be before I feel compelled to get a second copy for Epic BattleLore.

Looks awesome. Buying this one is a no-brainer for me.

This expansion answers several questions I had. The higher level warrior and rogue seemed underpowered, but the specialist cards look like they are going to fix that up nicely.

The missing longbow was also strange. I've found the common bow is quite powerful, but I'm sure they were careful to work on the balance.

My initial reaction to epic BL was negative. I'm afraid it will take too long given the level of randomness in the C&C system. For example, the armies have to close the distance, and it will take roughly twice as many cards now.
Still, though, when I think about how well those guys do everything else, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Thanks for calling this to my attention, it looks really promising.

I am cautiously optimistic about the epic games. If they can effectively transform BL from a 2 into a 4-6 person game, great! But I worry that they'll just suggest having a committee of discussion before selecting a card; hopefully I'm wrong.

If the increase in size adds to the story, I think it will work. It's an increase from 9 x 13 to 13 x 17, so a few more turns to close.
