Three's a Crowd?
So there's us, the SABG, then there's the "Game Sluts" (ahem), but did you know there's also another game group in San Antonio?
Check it out.
Crazy. Here's this whole group with overlapping interests, and yet we've never had "formal" contact with them. I heard about this from a guy my wife works with. He's the one who came to an opening gaming night with several games from the Gipf project.
I can't decide if this story is about how big the world is or how small it is...

It looks like the site's moderator's favorite games are "Pictionary and Cranium".... hmmm... Both very good, but euros and wargames are my thing. They are playing Alhambra in one of the pics...
Ted, have you made contact?
Well there seems to be a general preference for party games in that group. I went ahead and signed up just in case since they meet on Saturdays once a month which doesn't really conflict with anything we do. If I go this weekend I'll let you guys know how it was.
So which group is the "game sluts" ?
Kirk Woller's group, composed mainly of folks that have been friends since high school. The crossovers are mainly me, Rick Nichols, and Ted.
The "official" name of the group is not actually the Game Sluts. It's actually the Chameleon Gaming Group.
I think you should change the name to officially be Game Sluts. It just has a certain ring to it....
Perhaps we need to post some new SABG signs at DL and some of the other stores?
You know BGG allows game group badges, right? Not sure how much GG is in our public coffers for everyone to get one though...
Hey, a BGG badge would be cool! Heck we could just post some past SABG session reports to earn some geek gold. Anyone have a design in mind? Perhaps a tiny Alamo?
I wonder if we keep posting "Game Sluts" if it will increase our site's hits or rank on Google?
Goodness, that's a huge group, Ted... probably close to 50 people. If even one in ten is interested in our more hard-core brand of board gaming, then perhaps we can assimilate a few. I get the impression the group is more of a social club than a gaming club, but I'll be curious to read Michael's recon report.
Strike that... there's 104 members in the group.
SABG recruiting post placed on their message board... They have a pretty nice site.
Who (or What) in the world arenthe Game Sluts? Anyway, I am glad to see other game and socially active people in our area. This reminds me of an old movie called Colossus about this American super defense computer. It suddenly discovers "Another" which turns out to be the its Soviet counterpart.
There may be people there who like our type of gaming. Do they know about us?
