BatteLore Friday
My copy of BatteLore has officially been shipped. Assuming I'll have recovered sufficiently from the bent figures, I'd like to organize a game with someone for this coming Friday during the daytime. Anyone up for it?
Hooray, BattleLore was at my door today. Now to read the 80-page rulebook, which looks pretty much like a graphic novel from the outside. My fresh-out-of-the-box impression is that I'm blown away by the production value. At least component-wise, this game was worth every penny.
Okay, so BattleLore turned out to be even better than I had hoped for. What fun! Rob and I played as Dennis and Chad cheared us on. Rob beat me 6 flags to 5, in a tense, close fought battle. We played with just Level 1 Wizards on both sides, with me having a few goblins plus a mixed human force and Rob having some dwarves, a bunch of humans, plus the giant spider. What a great time!
We followed with two games of Marvel Heroes, making it a tremendously fun way to spend most of the day. We finally quit at nearly 5PM, having played without a break since 10AM.

I'd love to give BattleLore a spin on Friday, and gaming in general on Friday if anyone else is up for it.
I'm up for it!
Excellent! Hopefully we get a few more folks, then we can take turns trying out out the 2-player BattleLore, plus get some other stuff in as well.
I'm off work that day, so a 1000 start works for me.
I also have a copy of BL on the way to SA. Technically, however, it's a Christmas present.
In any case, I have to work on Friday.
I'm hoping that I have some good wargaming time over the break.
Ben: I can be there between 10-12:30pm (at least to watch you all play). I'll bring a few short games just in case.
Ted: When is your break?
I will happily ditch work for gaming on Friday, so 10am works for me too.
