Not too disappointed, in the sense that my expectations weren't too high; someone on BGG correctly predicted this way back on the first puzzle day. But I don't see how it will work for boardgames -- since they charge for shipping, they would have to discount 45% or more to beat online retaliers.
What bugs me the most is something that hasn't been mentioned in the BGG thread yet. They have been giving away these "Tanga points" all this time, and they don't even know what to do with them yet. Feels bait-and-switchy to me.
Finally, they sold out of the XBox's so fast that I suspect their inventory is on the order of 1-2 dozen units; I just can't see more than 1-2% of the puzzle-solving audience (a) not owning an XBox yet, (b) wanting one, and (c) making a $300 impulse buy right at that moment. So if you're not there right at the stroke of 9pm, your odds aren't good. I doubt I'll be back.
Mentioned lots by suspicious BGG users, but true, no concrete reply yet from the powers that be. To their credit though, there is some info on the Tanga FAQ, but again, nothing that meets concrete criteria to be called so.
Re: Bordgame discounts They couldn't afford 45% discounts because distributors generally will give you 46% off (ie wholesale price). We'll see what happens when they do come out... Now if they sold boardgame bundles, that could work out in theory. I'll keep an eye out for them, but I just can't help to feel sort of disappointed. The same Tanga points mystery that had some BGG'ers viciously completing these puzzles as soon as they came out, is what made me lose my interest after 1 week.
Well, okay, maybe its a little better... but if they only have a few copies to sell at the deep discount, it seems pretty gimicky.... I'll monitor over the next few days...

Yeah, I'm so gone. I expected something lame so no surprise there. At least Dayna got a boardgame out of all that wasted time.
Well ok....I'll eat my socks
if they sell games THAT cheaply, it will be worth it.
I'm still not sure its any better than Boulder Games... I'm averaging $25-$30 kickback on every $150 order from them at their already 35+% off prices.

It is more than 50% off. If they ever put Roads and Boats at ~50% off, I'll snatch a copy.
