Gaming Goodness Planned: Tuesday, 7 Feb 2006

I plan to show up at Dragon's Lair at roughly 6 PM on Tuesday. I hope others will be able to join in. I'll bring an armload of games, but everyone is encouraged to bring a favorite or two. Games high on my repeat play list are C&C Ancients (Cannae scenario); Twilight Struggle; RR Tycoon.

I should be able to make it by 6pm, but no promises. 7pm for sure. Since Ben is bringing a few 2 player games, I can bring my block favs if anyone is interested, and Confrontation (I want to play it again).

Anyone up for something less confrontational and light like Carcassonne? I'll bring "The City" just in case.

I hope to be able to make it to this one, sometime between 6 and 7. That's if it is on Tuesday - Monday is a bit more uncertain for me at the moment.

I guess it would be useful to know how to meet up with you guys: Dragon's Lair is on Fredericksburg, right? I don't know how many attendees there usually are at these events, and how easy it'll be to know who to approach...

Are both days possible? I can only make Monday DL sessions. If anyone is up for Monday let me know, though I won't make it tell 8:30...

Tuesday works best for me this week. I'll bring RR Tycoon, C&C Ancients, Twilight Struggle, and maybe one or two others of a multi-player nature.

I need to go get a poster frame from Wal-Mart for these paper maps...

OK. I'll be there Tuesday, not Monday. I'll bring Twilight Struggle, War of the Rings, Chinatown, and a few multiplayer games. I'm thinking Age of Steam, among others. I'll have the Power Grid expansion, so I'll bring Power Grid.

FYI -- Dora and her monkey are singing an ode to cocaine right now. And yes, the do crown Pikachu in another episode.

Martin: Just look for the guys with all the cool board games.... at 6/7 PM we should be easy to spot.

Ben, sounds good. Btw, I have a poster frame and can bring it if it'll help, just let me know.

It looks like no light games then. Hehe.

That's fine. I'll still bring the ones mentioned above. And at some point, I'd like to play Acquire (which apparently is OOP and I have one...sweet!). It was one of my first games acquired last year when I tried this drug we call a hobby. I just finished listening to the latest Dice Tower and Tom apparently is pretty fong of this game....it left me wanting to play it again.

I picked up Acquire at a 2-for-1 sale at Toys 'R Us last year. So far I've only played it with two players, but it was a lot of fun.

I'll bring RR Tycoon, Mall of Horror, Twilight Struggle, and C&C Ancients, all of which I'd call medium-light to light games.

GMT finally sent me my missing Carthaginian chariot! Woo hoo!
