A Puzzling Confrontation

Anyone else solve the Fantasy Flight Games puzzle contest for Lord of the Rings Confrontation Deluxe Edition ($50 prize in FFG merchandise) yet? I had to set the game up and reason it out for a bit, but I do believe I have the solution. Let me know if you want to compare answers... after you've submitted of course!

I solved it also.

I too had to set up my copy to help me figure it out.

That puzzle wasn't too hard. Jon and I tend to have weird deterministic end games in some of the things we play that are very similar to this sort of situation. Now we just have to wait to see how many people enter...Odds aren't too great for a single winner...

There's a copy of Warrior Knights or Britannia with my name on it if I win...

I hope to try out the variant characters in a real game sometime soon...

I agree, the new art is really good. Maybe it's my eyes though, but I think when they enlarged the original board artwork to the new large board size, the process made it a bit fuzzy. Still, the game looks very impressive with the new piece-holders lined up.

The variant game with the Witch King effectively being the dark side's ring bearer looks pretty interesting. The new characters are different enough it's bound to feel like a very different game.

I'm glad that so many of you bought this, because I just can't spring for the new version when I own the original. At least, not until my next round of purchases are done...
