Greetings from the PNW

So there are 6 months of posts on a single page in this blog. I recall when two weeks would have rolled over at least once and maybe twice.

I guess that Rob R's meet-up is now how San Antonians are getting their game on?

I'm sure it makes for good times and good games, but it doesn't leave much record, does it?

Greetings from the SWUSA. A few of the old timers still post here. I usually don't since most of my games are of Candyland, Chutes n ladders, Risk, Life, etc......

I miss the good old days. Life was simple. Jon was the epitome of evil, I was the epitome of good, and gaming boiled down to convincing the others of this fact.

Now I don't even know who is evil since there are no session reports to tell me.

This makes me sad. It seems that this blog was pretty much dead when we left Texas. I'm sure Meetup is fine for organizing, but this was a good part of the community.

Alas... I must take a lot of the blame, as I haven't been motivated to put any time / energy into creating new material for this blog in quite some time. My board gaming has become quite limited, though my game collection is still barely large enough to manage. Now with a second baby coming in a few weeks, board gaming continues to drop in priority for me. Still, I love the hobby as much as I did when I picked up my first Avalon Hill box 30+ years ago.

So... I'm sure I will be back with a vengeance at some point... But for now, the more time efficient gratification of PC and X-Box gaming (plus reading, working out, movie watching, etc.) will likely take the place of board gaming in my life.

I hope you all will stay in touch.
