I don't know, I'm not sure they've righted the ship yet. I'm still selling all my stuff at 50% off in Austin this fall unless something further happens to change my mind.
The new Creatures expansion is apparently only one new sculpt, the Hydra. The rest are the hill giant, spider, and elemental with just different cards (forest spider, mountain spider, etc.). Hopefully the dragons will be a tad more exciting.
Of course, with two new C&C: Ancients expansions this fall, do I really need this?
While we're on the topic of investing in games, GW is selling preorders for the Space Hulk remake. Be prepared for a bit of sticker shock, though--this thing runs $100.
Now there's some question about how many copies of this thing are going to be available for sale. I don't seriously think they're going to sell out anytime soon...but I'd really like to play this game, and I'd hate to be wrong. Given the subject matter, gaming experience of some of our veteran members, and price point of this game, plus knowing what I know about our group, I imagine that I'm going to be the only one in our group buying a copy (with the possible exception of Ben, who might buy one but never deshrink it). Still, I did splurge for a copy, wise decision or no. So, for those who absolutely have to have a copy, I figured I'd post this since it seems like fresh news. For those on the fence, you can hang on to your $100 and play my copy when it arrives.

Hi, Chris, my name is Dennis. I don't believe we've met.
If only FFG rather than GW were publishing it... Still, I will probably pick up a copy and hoard it away in its shrinked state, nestled in next to A&A: 50th.
GW publication generally means no price cutting... I wonder if the new release will include all the Deathwing stuff or anything new.

Plus two more unspecified, epic-sized games from FFG later in 2009...

I placed that preorder faster than Usain Bolt.
