More smack
Our update on the NCAA bracket,
I picked Villanova and Dennis picked Pitt. Our order is entirely determined by that game. But Scott picked Louisville to lose to UNC, so if Louisville makes it there he wins (I think) assuming UNC shows up. Chris needs Pitt to win the championship (I believe). Ben wants Michigan state. So I think we're all still mathematically alive ...

LOL, when I read that, I read that "If CONAN wins..."
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Conan could beat any team out there. It'd be a pretty short tournament.

I'm officially 5th--every team I have picked for the Final 4 has now lost, and the Final Four (as of this post) isn't even decided yet. Oh the ignominy (or, substituting the Merriam-Webster definition, Oh, the deep personal humiliation and disgrace.)
And if I'm not mistaken, Brian and Dennis have the same picks from here on out, so Brian wins the 2009 SABG Tournament Bracket Challenge unless Michigan State beats Villanova in the championship game, in which case Ben will have gone from worst to first and will claim the victory.
So, I'm ahead of Dennis and Chris is out. Scott has all dead picks except UNC, which I picked to win, so he can't gain on me. That leaves Ben.
Picking a game in the round of 8 is worth 40, final four is worth 80 and championship is 160. If Michigan State wins the championship, Ben wins ... unless im 161 or more ahead. If UNC is in the final game, I'll get 80 more points, which will put me 205 ahead. (Ben picked UNC to make it to the final four, so we can't move points on that).
So Ben needs Michigan State to beat Villanova or Oklahoma for the championship, by my count. Any other outcome sews it up for me.
Ugh! I do so revile Michigan State, killjoys of many of a glorious ND football season. Still... continuing the Conan theme (I really need to play the game to get this out of my system)...
Michigan State, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that one stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Michigan State... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to Hell with you!
