monday night gaming at DL

Any session reports from Friday or Saturday?

Is anybody else willing to make their Superbowl final score prediction before the game?

I will probably be able to arrive at DL Monday night in the 5:15-5:45 time frame. Who else will be able to attend Monday night?

I finally played BSG, and it was good.

I finally played Combat Commander: Pacific, and it too was good.

I dumped your games off at Chris' house, and my closet thought it was good.

I completed the Fallout 3 DLC last night, and I thought it was pretty meh.

Hooray, Time Warner now has SciFi Channel HD.

I suck at Angband, yet I'm still addicted. I have Gears 2 sitting in front of me, yet somehow I'd rather try to yet again to get to level 15...

I should be there. Assuming I get out of work at a decent time. Which at the moment seems likely. And if I get enough done tonight. Silly work. But it must be done.

I've experiments to run, there is research to be done....Im doing science, and I'm still alive.

Prrrrrrrobably in for Monday. I may duck out about 8pm.

Enjoying Angband as well. Finally got a character to live beyond an hour or so. But life is very fragile in this game, so the more time I invest in it, the more I'm worried that my character's just going to fall into a pit and die horribly without warning. That's the kind of game this is--unforgiving. Still, it's interesting doing what you can to reduce the risk. And it's definitely old school. I could make a backup save and my character would never die, but then it's not nearly as challenging, and that's the whole point.

You are exceptionally fragile at low-levels in Angband. Coupled with being a newbie (What's that red w? GETITOFFMEGETITOFFMEGETITOFFME) means you get to start a lot of characters.

Chris nailed it: the game is mostly risk management while killing monsters and taking their stuff.

Angband is awesome! I think I've gotten only to level 40 or so.

I blame you all for the increase in procrastination that will not be seen. Stupid video games. And for a Mas OSX as well. Sigh.

Only level 40???? I just cried out to the cruel heavens when Broda the Easterling pummeled my soft, innocent Level 16 Dwarf warrior into hamburger meat. The horror.... the horror...

Note to self... acid monsters destroy your word of recall scrolls way too easily.

Yeah, well, just a little bit of cheat saving there. I figured I'd beat the thing before trying to go through without saving. And level 40 is only a little less than halfway through!
