Monday part two; Diplomacy
So Tiffany indicated her availability for gaming Monday (MLK day). I indicated availability after 5pm (aka yes I am working). Ben, Chris, and Dennis all seemed to indicate they were out. Is anybody else available either for extended gaming or for gaming after 5pm? Inquiring minds want to know.
On another topic, the inaugral online SABG diplomacy game has ended in a two way draw between myself playing Austria and my friend Dave Morrone playing Turkey (invited in since we found ourselves stalled at 6 SABG'ers interested in playing). I hope to post a session report of sorts once I finish going through the Press from the game. Thanks again to Amy for GMing.
Is there interest in another Diplomacy game? Standard or variant? 2 or 3 turns a week?

Tiffany was available for gaming. Now she wont be available until after about 7 when she finished her work for the day.
I can be there at 5:00. Is it at DL as Usual?
I would be interested in Diplomacy, but I haven't played it before. Is there a set of rules online for me to read?
it sounds like monday gaming is not happening so I am planning to just come home instead; perhaps something will start getting planned for later in the week or next weekend
Al, yes the Diplomacy rules can be found online; if nobody else finds and posts a link first I am sure I can dig one out.
among many other places diplomacy rules can be found at:
http://www.amarriner.com/dip/
under the information tab
Since that took almost 6 months, I'll not be available to GM another one for a while.
Thanks to everyone for putting up with me!
Well, I might be able to make it but it sounds like it's a slow night. I'll make a decision later, but unless we have 3 other definite people I'll probably pass.
Incidentally -- Is anyone going to OwlCon? Just wondering.
No for me for owlcon.
I hope the next diplomacy game can be fit in within 3 rather then 6 months by doing slightly less time for each turn up front and then progressively less as the game goes on.
Again Amy thanks a lot for putting up with us and GM'ing the first one.
What did we ever decide was the difference between the site we used and the site Ben had first found to potentially run it through?
I also wondered if the next one might be done anonymously?
If anybody who is interested in playing needs to GM the next one I would step up to do so; having been part of the win for the first one it seems both fair and prudent.
As for the session report; since the press is available to everbody; even those without accounts on the site; I am thinking the session report if done at all needs to be short and just allow folks to read for themselves.
However, since I have so far only had time to read Press through 1906 I am not yet ready to put anything together.
