It's about time

Believe it or not, the Bush Administration is in its last few hours.

Sounds to me like enough reason to celebrate--with a few games. I'll host Saturday at 10am.

PS The Agricola/Dominion/etc. thick card sleeves are available for preorder. Or maybe they're in stock. I'm not sure--this page says both. Who knows? But I figured some people might be interested.

Sleeves will be ordered. Very soon.

Gaming should be a go as well. Though I will also have to work tomorrow. So I dont know about the timing yet.

Make a break for it Michael! Run! Be free!

Seriously, hope you can make it.

And to think I almost made a remark about how quiet it would probably be without football (college or NFL) or Rock Band.

I am a possible; say about a 1 in 3 chance; I will try to update when I know more but that may be last minute.

I actually just ordered normal sleeves for Combat Commander: Pacific. Strangely, the cheapest price I'm seeing on the net now is Troll and Toad, known for very high prices on other items.

Session report?

So... what's the verdict on WoW minis? Worth it? I generally despise all things collectible, but I do like the theme. Ideally I'd wait until the current set is in the graveyard before I buy into a booster case for $150, but I'm think of at least getting one of the starter versions.

At some point I'd really like to try the Combat Commander Stalingrad campaign scenario. Featuring the fight over the famous Mamayev hilltop over a series of rounds, the setup looks very engaging, and, unlike Road to Legend, might be completed in a reasonable time frame. Check out Volgograd on Google Earth to get a good perspective on the battle site:

Lat: 48°44'32.64"N
Lon: 44°32'13.23"E

Clonewars on Cartoon Network seems to be getting slightly better via turning the violence up a notch. My rule of thumb is that Clones must die at a rate of at least 50% that of droid death in order for an episode to be sufficiently compelling.

BSG.... well... no, too many spoilers.

Anyone order PQ-17 via P500? The production map and counters look wonderful.

I played Ave Caesar and Rock Band.

I think Dominion was played.

I know Battlestar Galactica was played.

I think the general verdict on WoW minis is good. However, Dennis and Chris have bought in pretty heavily and for a quick game it is no problem to borrow from them.

By played for BSG I mean not played. I'm tired. If BSG was played, I would have played it. I just cannot make simple grammatical constructions at the moment.
