I've got my weekend planned out...how about you?
I've got three presentations to prepare for work and just found out that the deadline to have them done is much sooner than I was expecting, so no hosting or playing games for me for probably the next two weekends. Just wanted to let you know so you could make plans. See you on the other side, hopefully.
P.S. For those who played Mass Effect, look here--gotta click on the watch in HD link at the bottom right of the video. I tried to embed it but it looks horrible embedded.

Hey, how did you get a photo of me at work?
Based on our imploding plans to explore Android, I am keeping the kitchen pass in the bank until weekend after next, at which point I'll be so board game deprived I'll be ready to play even one of Ted's games. Sorry... just kidding, Ted!
In the mean time I'm sitting here attempting to master the Paths of Glory rule book. If anyone is interested in a PBEM game of it, just let me know. Otherwise, I'll put myself in the loving hands of strangers on the Internet.
Other unrelated ramblings....
My running clan has opted for Facebook rather than my suggestion of a blog. I like the blog much better. Facebook seems creepy.
Even though I suck, Gears 2 is some of the best fun I've had on X-Box in quite a while. Must be the chainsaw. Maybe now is the time to go back and do Halo 2 and Halo 3.... We don't play enough Doom.
MST3K is weirder than I remember...., but still entertaining. These guys must have had some seriously magical brownies laying around. Ah, Netflix....
I'm crawling around Level 31 in Angband, playing in hard core iron man mode. Fingers seem a bit jumpy... I'm learning through near brushes with death the value of missile weaponry.
Okay.... back to the endless cookie bar here at the Lexus dealership.
And here I just opened a Facebook account today!
Blogs are better.
Hey... speaking of Gears, I just noticed Fantasy Flight Games is releasing Gears of War the Board Game fourth quarter this year. Awesome! I wonder how close it will be to Doom.
My parents are coming to visit so I too am out for the weekend through Wednesday.
I am also likely out for the weekend but should be available monday.
Looks like this weekend is a bust. I could do an extended monday at DLair to make up for it.
Ben, I haven't done PoG by Cyberboard or Vassel, but I played it a few times back in NC. I could probably do it again. Given my employment status, I could probably do an evening FTF game (early war only, perhaps), just to get the rules straight.
My FtF ability is severely limited right now.... Baby no likey sleepy.
Still, the PoG rulebook seems pretty straight forward and PBEM allows lots of time for careful review and consideration. I should be ready to start something up by early next week if you're still up for it.
Coming next week on XBL, potentially a new addiction:

If things don't pan out with Brian I wouldn't mind a game of Paths of Glory via Vassal. I've never tried PBEM but wouldn't mind learning--seems less stressful.
Mass Effect 2!!!!! sweet
BTW, Street Fighter 4 rocks.
