SABG Member Wins a 2007 Origins Award
Congratulations to Steve for winning a 2007 Origins Award for co-designing Vlad the Impaler, a Warhammer Ancient Battles supplement by Warhammer Historical! Here are the official press releases:
I knew Steve was an awesome gamer, but I had no idea he was an awesome designer as well!
Steve: When are we going to bust out the Kingmaker variant you designed? I'm now just a bit more confident it won't suck!

This is WILD. Steve, I had no idea that you ran in such circles! Thanks, Ben, for pointing this out. Congratulations , Steve.
BTW, speaking of the Kingmaker variant - I finally got BattleLore. My son and I love to play!
I think some Vlad the Impaler sessions are called for....but that's just me who's over here, and can't do much about it.
:)
(to be honest, I've always been curious about these miniature games....and have considered the wizkids clix system because of simplicity)
I picked up Kingmaker at a thrift store in Dallas before I left - is it any good? I'm not really a war-gamer, but I can't pass up cheap classic AH titles. If nothing else, I can trade or sell them to people who appreciate them more than I...
Congrats Steve!
Congrats!
Thanks, all. They want me to collaborate on two more (Masters of the Steppes and The Northern Crusades), and I want ahead and said ok without overwhelming enthusiasm. I could do any of several subjects on my own but I hate fretting over where the painted armies pictures will come from (probably the biggest roadblock) and would rather just do research, historical text, scenario design, and army lists. The horrid pay per hours spent ratio is only offset by reading the bitter postings of Warhammer Ancients players who feel their favorite armies got the shaft and want to burn you in effigy.
So rewarding.
realy cool blog, love WAB, love it!!!!check out my blog if you like, love to hear what any other bloggers think
