Axis and Allies: Guadalcanal
As an officianado of Axis and Allies and the history of the World War 2 Pacific theater, I'm really excited that this is now on the official release schedule. Now to convince someone to try A&A: Bulge with me... or even A&A: Pacific for that matter... Takers?

A&A:G looks really cool. I'm going to keep a close eye on this one.
After checking out several Pacific Theater, I've concluded the grand strategy scope is problematic from a game perspective. Japan had absolutely zero chance to defeat the allies, and so it makes it difficult to set up reasonable victory conditions. When the Japanese player looks at the board and sees that all options are losing, it's hard to form a good plan.
One solution that occurred to me was to focus on a single campaign...like, say, the Solomon islands and/or Guadalcanal. The only question mark is whether carriers will factor into the game much. The scale might be too small.
Thanks for the tip, Ben.
