Gaming at Dragon's Lair, 17 Jul 2006

Come one, come all to join the best board gaming club in the world, or at least San Antonio, for another night of fun, games, and epic struggles for world domination! Ted and I plan to play a game of GMT's card-driven wargame Wilderness War as our main course for the evening. I hope we're joined by many others filling all the tables with gaming goodness.

If you're willing and able, please signify your plans to attend by accepting the invite on the Google calendar invite sent to you.

I hope to see everyone there!

I will be there... yes, I am back with a craving for some serious gaming.

I'll bring Batle Line (appetizer),T+E, Hammer of the Scots (potential main course), and Hecatomb (Simon?).

I've been craving a comeback from some other hits: RR tycoon, Memoir 44, Arkham (with 3 players...no more), TS (what's the status on the tourney?).

Welcome home, Rob!

The TS tourney is alive and well. We just need to get round 2 moving. I'm off Friday, so maybe Michael and I can get together for a game...

Arkham Horror: I have the new expansion set, so a 3-4 player game would be great.

T&E: I have my shiny new, unpunched oopy ready for play.

Hammer of the Scots: Listen to the latest episode of Point 2 Point to really get you motivated to play this one again.

Battle Line: I really enjoy this game! I looked at this morning on the shelf as I was loading up and almost grabbed it.

In addition to Wilderness War, I packed LotR:C Deluxe and Nexus Ops.

There's about an 80% likelihood that I'll be available this Friday during the day, so if TS doesn't happen (or if there's time after)...

Dungeoneer
Descent
Dungeon Twister
War of the Ring
RRT
T&E

Hell yes, Hecatomb. I'm bringing I'm the Boss! (since we need more infighting here at SABG in my view), Alhambra, and 10 days for filler. See you guys at 6.

I'll be out of town starting Thursday, so no gaming Friday or next Monday. I know, I know, but I'm sure you guys can pull together and do just fine when the time comes...

:P

So, Friday gaming during the day...do we want to plan for a mega-game or just play a bunch of standard length stuff?

well, I knew something unexpected was going to come up.

My cuz from Miami is in town and he's flying back tomorrow. He's got dinner planned for tonight....meaning that I could PROBABLY go by DL between 10'ish and not-at-all.

Still Friday is looking good. Plus I'm pretty much free for the next 2 weeks, so anyone can drop me a line for some war/eurogaming.

I'm building a firewall around Friday. I can safely plan to play 1000-1600 hours.

Everything Jeff and Rob mentioned sounds fantastic to me at this point.

Kendahl and I just played a great game of the new variant-version Lord of the Rings: Confrontation will all the bells, whistles, and power cards turned on, and it was great! Session report to follow....

I did not see the listing until today. If this is a regular meeting, perhaps next week will work out. Carlos (The other Latin Guy!)

Yes, most mondays seem to be attending. We had a dozen tonight (not all at once, but still ...) and that's not counting Rob.

I considered going NOW, but usually this late it's kinda dead.

The dinner ran a little longer than expected. 12? wow. Strong showing. Anyone going tomorrow? :) There's always Friday... but why wait.
