Stinkest, Thou?

Shadows of Camelot, art thou knight or knave? Dost thou truly stinketh? Art the disparagers of thy name mere traitors and cackling crones? Should I just cry, "Run away!" when someone suggests you? Or perhaps I should merely pull the pin on the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and be done with you.

Days of Wonder, didst thou soil thy armor when making this one? Or perhaps thy creation is the very Holy Grail in disguise! Well, probably not, but I hope we get to play it sometime.

I have been dying to play this game and a few others (Carabande, Descent, Werewolf). The only reason I can conjure for this weird spread of gaming desires comes from the fact that they simply get stuck in my brain after too many geeklist views and too many purple cactus visits...

In short, I give my hardy second! Help me purge those little flicking discs and siege engines from my meek cerebral cortex!

...damn I'm a nerd...

I want learn to play and get a game or three in, but I think the game has its work cut out for it as far as convincing me I need to own a copy. Keep bringing it, Ben. We'll eventually get it on the table. We'll eventually get Descent on the table, too.

Hey... guys... y'all don't have to assume a game sucks because I say it does (well, that's not exactly what I said about Camelot, but kinda). I think I'm the lonely crone here. :)

Simon, we all are. That's why we check BGG and now this site, multiple times a day to see what's new. With this group, I feel at home (insert violins...group hug)

My take on Shadows is that it's a good excuse to get together and socialize with friends, especially if beer is involved.

It's not a deep thinking strategy game, but that isn't it's goal, either.

I would say our game group is too hard-core for this game. A better audience might families or folks who play games once in a while.

I think Ted put it correctly. I will give it a try if it comes up again. I don't want to be known as the hater....thanks Kendahl!

Wow, I consider myself to be firmly entrenched in softcore territory. Look at all those versions of Risk, Heroscape, and Axis & Allies on my shelf! Most of my games have at least 100 plastic figures with guns, swords, or other sharp objects in their hands.

Oh, that? Oh, how did that get there? Please just don't pay any attention to that copy of ASL Starter Kit in the corner there... that's just, well, a problem I'm dealing with called latent wargame-ism... I have it under control... no need for intervention.. under control...

It's better in theory than in practice, but I want to play it a few more times.

Patrick, thanks for sharing the crone title. Hehe.

I'll definitively give it a try like Ted suggested....with beer.
