Game of Thrones.... Personally I found the series to be quite crass and in need of a good editor. I made it through the first three tomes in the series, but can't must any interest to go further. Too many other good books to read, and life is short.
Since we're off topic, is it possible to place a link for a word document on blogspot? I had to set up a blog for a project which involves several teachers from different schools, the problem is that we need a way to post and share MS documents. Any suggestions?
What are you talking about? This thread is TOTALLY on topic. It's just not the original topic. Details, details...
It sounds like what you need is a file hosting service. I'm sure you'd prefer a free file hosting service. A quick Google search pulled up this article:
The 5 Best Free File Hosting Services To Store Your Files!Something there might work for you. Then you can put your files on that website and post links to them on your blog. I don't think the blog itself hosts files that can be downloaded. But I'm not really a computer expert. (Although I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last year.)
If everyone has the newest office suite, using Groove is a nice easy way to share files limited to a specific set of people who have been given permission to access the group. Some of my writer friends and use it to trade works, edits etc instead of emailing back and forth. They also might have message board functions, etc. I know I can send messages to them through Groove, and it notifies me when there are new files, etc.
ShadowToggy kicked some butt today. I am pleased. :ninja:
Side note/digression/etc: And yes, i have spent way way way too much time in chit chat. You all are lucky that I am not talking about myself in third person atm. Or speaking in Austenese, as I have been apt to do of late.
Thanks to all; I will check into these. My computer knowledge is a bit out dated. I remember setting up an ftp server long, long ago, but I'm not sure if ftp is even viable anymore.
