Saturday Gaming Fever

Amy and I are having casual gaming friends over on Saturday starting around 8 AM. If the SABG want to join us, that'd be great, and you're all welcome. We'll be playing mostly light/medium fare, so be forewarned if you're looking for a game of 7 Ages or Civ to follow on the heels of last week's TI:3 you'll want to BYOE (Bring Your Own Epic).

RSVP in the comments.

I'm interested but like all things this week, I cannot make a firm commitment at the moment.

After Sunday at 5:45 am I'm all over any gaming opportunities until mid August.

Eeek! Party games are migrating from Fridays and Mondays into Saturday territory.

Perhaps I'm suffering some form of protein deficiency, but I'm definitely craving meat in my board games this weekend. Games like Tide of Iron, War of the Ring, Arkham Horror, Kingmaker, Epic BattleLore, any card driven or block wargame, etc. are what I'm up for.

Thanks for the invite, Jeff. I used up all of my "Gaming Allowance" for a couple of weeks, so I will not be seen for a little while. Looking forward to a session post.

Ben, by "light/medium fare" and "casual gaming friends," Jeff didn't mean to give the impression of "party games," but rather not Age of Steam, or some other very heavy game. Basically, I wanted to introduce two friends from work (who are, in my opinion, prime candidates for board gaming enthusiasts) to some Euros. Tiffany has already joined us on a Monday night.

As Jeff said, if you're craving something very heavy, you're still welcome to come over and play!

Any, when I had folks over at my house last Saturday, I thought of you. I recall that you were not a "Good Candidate" to come over here because we have three cats.

Two are young kittens, so during the game we had to "Lock them up" in the bed room so as not to become too curious about the game.

I have been able to introduce some people from my work to gaming. One of the guys who played TI3 last Sat actually got the game himself. Another guy (who was not not there) has been getting into some other light games (Robo-Rally).

Not sure what light games you may have in mind. RRT is a great choice, but can be a bit long. I also know that "Shadows over Camelot" makes many in the group want to Barf, but I really like it and all non-gamers I have ever played it with are taken away by it. I think the concept of a cooperative game is really cool to them.

I know that you have MANY games at your place. Please let us know what you played and how the guests reacted to them. Your mission is to make them some of us...

anyway I can find out where this is taking place? There is an outside chance since I have next week off from work for vacation and we are not going anywhere that I can actually get spousal clearance for this one.

Scott

I don't have your non-work email. My understanding is that your employer is uber-strict about personal email. Other SABGers who have the info I require are welcome to send it as well. Better to get it seven times than to get it zero.

I have relatives in town, but I'm pretty sure they're gonna waste their Saturday at Fiesta Texas. If that's the case, I'll probably come by.
