Recruits Needed?
I've been noticing a bit of attrition among our ranks. Several folks are moving away, I hear Monday nights are faltering. Can we have a roll call? Can folks throw up a reply to state if they are planning to be an active game player in SA in the forseeable future?
To some degree this is natural as people move and their hobbies ebb and flow. Also, within the last 6 mos or so we've picked up about 3 new members: Al, Steve, and the mysterious Sean (?).
Still, it might be time for an event or something.
I have a few ideas.

My average games/day has fallen below 1 for March and April. I hope to bring it back up during May.
We've been doing a bit of gaming with a lady Amy works with and her husband. They were interested in gaming with SABG. They may not become regulars, but they might swell the ranks on occasion.

Mondays (and most weeknights) are out of the picture for me for the foreseeable future, though I'm committed to keeping Saturdays rolling.
The Federation Commander website has about 5-6 people registered from San Antonio as being interested in playing. Since this game is a recent release, I view these as live targets for SABG recruitment, but I haven't gotten around to spamming/recruiting them.
Last week, I rebumped our club recruiting post on BGG.

I havent been able to game much lately, but should be able to start going again since school will be out soon.
I am always here and ready for action. I think everyone knows that I am constrained by domestic family obligations as I prepare three new gamers to one day manage this blog.
A few weeks ago I was at a church retreat with my wife at a beautiful place near Kerrville. There was this big house with lots of rooms that would have been a GREAT for about a dozed gamers to play, snack, and crash out. I should look into this for a possible mega-event.
Based on today's blog activity, I would say rumors of our demise are somewhat exaggerated.
Rather than dying off we're simply adapting to fit people's changing needs. Sounds great to me!
Still, a new recruit or three is always a welcome thing.
My motto for the next few weeks:
Play a game and bring a friend!
Like others (though for slightly different reasons), my life is tied to the school year. In a week or two I become much more free on Mondays.
