Holiday Gaming

Amy and I hosted all day gaming the day after Thanksgiving last year and it was a lot of fun. Is anyone interested in playing all day either the Friday or the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Place, date, and time will be determined by your comments plus a random factor pulled from a secret formula I found on the intraweb.

Kirk and Vanesa from my other group have already scheduled all-day gaming for that Friday. Which means, of course, that I prefer you host Saturday....

And as a general comment, crossover between the groups is encouraged (Rick, Rob, Ted, and myself attend both), so if anyone is interested in that Friday, let me know.

Gaming on Saturday would probally be best for me also, but if more people want Friday over Saturday I might be able to work something out.

I can do both or either Friday or Saturday, at this point.

It would be great if invites or information about the other group's meetings were shared, assuming they want the unwashed masses of SABGers to attend.

NEVER! SABG claims universal jurisdiction over San Antonio. If these "gaming sluts" want their share, then they must fight to the death for it! We tangle at dawn West Side Story style. I'll bring my crappy El Grande insert to slap people around with. Like Highlander, there can be only one!

...

Uhhh...

I can make either day (or both).

West Side Story style?

We fight with choreography?

I'm not much of a dancer, so I'll have to sit out this rumba-rumble. Or maybe it's a tango tangle?

My in-laws are in town Mon-Mon, so no gaming for me.

Somehow I rather prefer our group's name of San Antonio Board Gamers (SABG) compared to the other group's SA Gaming Sluts (SAGS). However, SA Gaming Sluts is probably a better name than other alternatives that could have been chosen such as:
SA Gaming Hos
SA Gaming Beeotches
SA Gaming Skanks..., and so on.

The "other group" mostly consists of old friends. I'd imagine they don't post here because they are not completely comfortable with total strangers showing up at their door. They are also a bit intimidated by those "hardcore gamers" at Dragon's Lair (meaning us). But they have mentioned inviting y'all before.

Anyway, it's just more comfortable and polite if I can email them and say "Hey, this guy is coming too", and they can say "OK, great, we'll have a little more food", and then when you come, we can introduce you around, and then everybody is one big happy gaming family. Can't you feel the love?

As a member of both groups and a Gemini, I can fight for both groups. I'll just stand in between and beat the crap out of myself.

It'll be like Thunderdome minus 1. "One man enters, no man leaves".

That's probably the funniest thing I've read in a long, long time...

Looks like Saturday after Thanksgiving is the day. So, make yourself a leftover turkey sandwich and bring it to Jeff and Amy's around 11 AM.

If Friday had been better I might have suggested meeting at Dragon's Lair, but on Saturday there'll be a crowd of Magic players there, and you know what they're like.

;)

For those who want to still get together on Friday at Dragon's Lair, I'd definitely be up for it.

Oh, and I still plan to attend on Saturday as well.

I would be interested, too. I'd like to play Struggle of Empires again, I really liked it.

I forgot to mention. I can play on Saturday, but I'd have to leave at about 6:00 pm. So I'd prefer Friday. But let's have it on Sat because that would suit more people.

Jeff, I spoke with my wife, Dana, and she is interested in joining in the Saturday fun. Put us down as likely attendees. I'll need your address or phone number to track you down. You can email me at crickrun@yahoo.com.
