Holiday Daydreaming

The thing I find myself most looking forward to during the holidays related to board gaming is hopefully to get some difficult-to-get-to-the-table games played. Games in particular I'm looking forward to playing:
  • East Front 2 - I don't have a copy, but I know there's several in our group
  • Descent with the new expansion - this game is just too fun not to be played more often
  • World of Warcraft with the new expansion - I found the base game to be fun, and the new cards should just make it better
  • Marvel Heroes - 'Nuff said!
  • ....and of course, Twilight Imperium 3 with the new expansion.
I think its way too early to begin scheduling, but if you're interested in any of these just let me know, and we can start up an e-mail chain.

I'm all about Descent, WoW, and Marvel Heroes. Throw in Doom now that I'm painting up my own copy (4 down, 62 to go...ugh...).

My last class is Dec. 7th, and then my schedule opens way up for day gaming.

Well, I've got Der Kinder during the Holidays, but I can probably break free for a long evening several times. (Since I can sleep late). That particular list is hit or miss, but I've got several games I'd like to try: Flying Colors, Age of Napoleon, War of the Ring Expansion. And then there are the old CDGs and other longish games.

Well, these all-day games, at least the multi-player ones, are almost always in the dice-chucking, Ameri-trash school of board gaming, so I understand they're not for everyone.

War of the Ring (with expansion) is definitely on my hit list. CDGs are always good. Doom is always good.

Being an ole time WSIM player, I do enjoy the subject matter of Flying Colors.

I'm off from from 22 Dec - 7 Jan.

My student teaching ends on Nov 30, and I may be going to Vegas at the end of December, but other than that I'm free to game whatever whereever whenever during December.

I have scattered holes in my schedule for December, so sign me up. From the school of Ameritrash, I'm looking forward to Doom, WoW avec expansion, Descent (still haven't played).

Also Shifting Sands, EastFront2, and one of the beefier CDG's would be cool too (B2B or For the People), but I'll probably have to host on a Saturday or Sunday for that.

Ok well I know its technically not the holidays, but I will be here during the first half of december. After that I'm gone for a month or so.

I'm all about Saturdays, otherwise I'm booked solid.

I'm interested in World of Warcraft, Marvel Heroes, and maybe even Return of the Heroes.

P.S. Is it just me or is the blog freaking mind numbingly slow and dodgy?

I'm interested in most of these, including:

EF
Duel of Ages
7 Ages
Sword of Rome

Usually we have family in town for holidays which means I'm shut out. That's what happened this week: Sun - Mon family.

This Christmas I might be free, but I don't know.
