OK, so I went and checked out the Gathering of Friends online. Needless to say I'm so freakin' jealous. A whole week of gaming with designers and prototypes?!
From left to right, it is Marty Hoff (from Austin), ???, Tom Lehmann (the game designer, CA), myself, Mark Delano (CT).
I originally thought the mystery man was Henning Kropke (from Austria). But on closer inspection, that's not Henning. I don't remember.
Mark was one of two attendees that took my lab when I was in grad school teaching. The game shown is Hacienda.
I normally don't play prototypes at the Gathering, with the exception of Tom's. [Tom sometimes posts on my blog, btw]. And normally I only play his if they're done and just being polished (card costs, etc).
I've got some minor comments on my site, I'll post a wrap up later. I'm tired.

What is the "Gathering of Friends?" Just a con or something more important?.
Some con or something.... it's all I know.
It's a con that Alan Moon runs.
Brian,
Who are the other folks in the photo? I'm sure you enjoyed the 'con'.
I'd be interested in a post that hit a few of the high-lights. I'd love to enjoy it vicariously. Share the wealth!
